The PTA Newsletter -- The 43rd issue covers the interview of the Principal, contributions from the PTA Chairperson (Mr Rosalina Lam) and the IMC Parent Manager (Ms Kuan Wai Fan), new parents and teacher committee members, reports on our Sponsored Walk, sharing by parents on their participation in the relay race of the Sports Day and students' write-ups on the exchange programmes in Cambridge and Okinawa.

親子旅行 - 馬屎洲及休閑農莊一日遊
本校家長教師會與香港家庭福利會合辦之滿【FUN】家庭系列之親子大旅行於2018年1月27日舉行，藉此好讓各家長與兒女們一同在大自然美景下，舒緩身心，輕鬆休閒地享受的春日美好的時光。
當日，家長們遊覽了馬屎洲地質公園，那兒風景優美，亦有多項活動可參與，包括：沿途觀察斷層、褶曲、石英岩脈、結核、龍落水、海蝕平台及海岸植物等。家長與兒女們在大草地玩集體遊戲和放風箏，有些更在休閑農莊嘗試自耕田園和參加親子工作坊，有多項活動選擇，例如：自製麵包和意大利薄餅﹑磨豆漿﹑學習沙樽畫和種子畫﹑織草蜢及再造紙。

家長講座 ［如何讓年青孩子成為具熱情而有生命力的人？］
本年度「滿FUN家庭系列」的首項活動為2017年9月12日舉行的「如何讓年青孩子成為具熱情而有生命力的人？」家長講座，希望讓父母掌握培育子女迎接生命挑戰所需韌力的要素。是次講座邀請了一位資深註冊社工，黃鎮昌先生。黃先生的分享讓家長可以反思養育兒女就像農夫耕作一樣：「指望更好 的收成：快不了、慢慢來！」。家長亦反思了他們應該和不應該做的事情，例如他們應期望兒女能變得獨立﹑願意幫助別人、有品格承載能力﹑鍛練強健的體魄﹑培養堅強的意志和有分析解難的能力等，但家長不能「養慣」兒女，以免養成「挑剔態度，拒絕安逸的生活。家長亦必須培養兒女「謙遜」的質素﹑使他們「有執行力」和「有深度」，譨她們成為「熱情而有生命力的人」。

PTA Annual General Meeting 2017
The 24th Annual General Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) was smoothly held on 4 November. The PTA expressed thanks for the support of the school, teachers and parents in the previous academic year, which enabled it to complete all the activities satisfactorily. A new cabinet was sworn in for this academic year as the school bids farewell to Shamshuipo.

英華禱告會
一年一度的英華禱告會在2017年4月29日舉行了！這個非常溫馨「有趣」的禱告會約40位朋友出席。在禱告會除了可以跟隨校友合唱團唱出美妙動人的聖詩外，還可以參與「緊張刺激」的遊戲；透過遊戲，快速找到各自的生日並依序排好，使本來互相不太認識的、參與禱告會的校友、家長、老師及同學一下子就熱絡起來！這次禱告會由利天允校友負責敬拜，趙麗霞博士負責介紹重建工程進度，周小鳳副校長負責介紹籌款進度和學校發展，最後分小組為個別需要和事項互相代禱結束這次的禱告會。
